I never understand "family" commercials like this. I guess you have to be a parent to appreciate them. It does not look appealing.

When did the word "Dad," become a verb?!

I really liked it. It kept to traditional - "Dad holds them to the rules" and shows how important a Dad in the house is. Positive compliments to daughter and wife get bonus points. :) Lots of wholesome physical activity, too.

Now we just need to see part 2 of the commercial. That is when the dad comes home from a long hard day at work and gets to listen to screaming kids and a nagging wife.

Part 2 could be used to sell bourbon.

I am a dad, came home to screaming kids and a wife who thought I was a monster for trying to discipline them. But I love the commercial because - at least in Cheerios Land - there are children and wives who love their fathers and husbands.

To be fair to my now ex-wife, I did overdo it on the discipline. No one should scream at their kids. Especially dad.
