They actually are available already, about $30 a volume, hardcover, from Rome....

God bless,
Sr. HSr. Helena Burns, fsphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09196121481873845379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11789157.post-2753167572704490982011-05-09T12:51:03.939-05:002011-05-09T12:51:03.939-05:00Dear Sister,

What I at least got from the film was (1) how the choice (symbolized by the pistol removed from the desk drawer where the rosary also was put) for a life of egotism and material gratification made by the Manolo Torres character does not lead to the happiness and love that even he wanted, and (2) so long as one is alive, there is always the possibility of repentance and redemption, suggested by the ending, and the replacement of the pistol by the rosary. The encourager for me was the suggestion that St Josemaria's gift of the rosary and yearly letters helped keep the spark of a good conscience alive in Manolo until the end, so that the good seed bore fruit, even if only after years of cruelty and murder. My irreverent mind analogizes this to the old saying about Sherlock Holmes, that he always solved the crime, but while doing so, several others were likely to die.

BTW, as I write this I am looking at my old copies of Fr. Alberione's meditation books: is there any chance they will be reissued?

Keep up the good work and all the best,
Woody JonesWoodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08910654300435533408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11789157.post-82459197069474691122011-05-03T15:30:43.564-05:002011-05-03T15:30:43.564-05:00Dear Sister,

Escriva is not the main character! The put this tagline underneath pics of the soldier who is Escriva's nemesis, so it doesn't even apply to him!Sr. Helena Burns, fsphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09196121481873845379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11789157.post-64185537100848998542011-05-03T09:13:52.316-05:002011-05-03T09:13:52.316-05:00There is an article on the film in the May edition...There is an article on the film in the May edition of the Messenger of Saint Anthony. Sadly both he and Opus Dei have often been targeted unfairly in the media.
Montserrat Grases (July 10, 1941 - March 26, 1959) was a native of Barcelona and a member of Opus Dei. Her life is hugely inspiring. Montse is a wonderful role model for teenagers. She is a candidate for sainthood. She is very special to me. I hope to live to see her canonised.John Barryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02492900180819129920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11789157.post-74677196907559346442011-04-20T13:35:29.630-05:002011-04-20T13:35:29.630-05:00Daniel--thanks!
