After book seven came out, she said there were Christian themes and influences in the book (and it obviously is once you read the last one, with it's scripture quotes and real "Kings Cross Station" )Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11789157.post-72286705978466623412009-07-21T16:40:54.949-05:002009-07-21T16:40:54.949-05:00I actually found about 11 or so (maybe less maybe ...I actually found about 11 or so (maybe less maybe more) saint names in the book. Hedwig, Norbert, Hermione, George, James, Godric, etc. They celebrate Christmas in the book. It teaches the difference between good and evil. Even though JKR has repeatedly said she tried to keep her religion out of the book, it is easy to figure out that she is a Christian.lourdesgirl101https://www.blogger.com/profile/13664319150036862812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11789157.post-35670066313205700032009-07-20T13:12:45.935-05:002009-07-20T13:12:45.935-05:00Great review.Great review.Janellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00383320208405368513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11789157.post-85437130019858849622009-07-19T21:13:01.364-05:002009-07-19T21:13:01.364-05:00Yeah, HBP is my least favorite HP book, and maybe ...Yeah, HBP is my least favorite HP book, and maybe it's just that my expectations for this movie were lowered by looking at the movie through that "tinted glass," but I really enjoyed this movie! You're right about the romance parts, too - they are actually TASTEFUL and NON-OFFENSIVE (*shock!*), and the "darker" parts in the latter half of the movie are not so frightening as to warrant any special cautions IMO. I was afraid that the "PG" rating would be another example of Hollywood stupidity, but the movie left me really with nothing to complain in that regard, either.

Thumbs up from me (both for the movie and for you review!)Andy Kirchoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06675860534294083557noreply@blogger.com
